wize.life is a service and news portal with an active community. Registered users can exchange ideas with one another, discuss, upload photos, set up groups according to their interests and find friends and partners. According to IVW and AGOF, the platform reached around 3 million users a month with almost 30 million page views.
On October 11, 2016, the network was renamed from seniorbook to wize.life ; the old domain redirects to the new domain wizelife.de. The company was ahead of a legal dispute with Facebook over the ending “book”.
concept
According to the operators, the portal is intended to encourage participation through the interaction of news editors and community members. Articles from the fields of health, life, finance, nature, knowledge and society are published.
privacy
Users can manage and delete their stored data themselves. All Wizelife AG servers are located in Germany and are subject to German data protection law.
Companies
Wizelife GmbH is 100% privately financed. The company is based in Munich. The project was initiated by the ERL real estate group from Deggendorf. wize.life is a purely advertising-financed platform. Alexander Schiechel has been the managing director since 2019, the chief content officer and editor-in-chief is Christian Böhm, sales manager Thomas Bily, and Christian Pletz acts as technical director.
