Vladimir Andreevich Artemyev
Vladimir Artemyev ( Russian Владимир Андреевич Артемьев * June 24 . Jul / 6. July 1885 greg. In St. Petersburg ; † 11. September 1962 in Moscow ) was a Soviet missile developers on Gas Dynamics Lab. and Rocket Research Institute .
In 1928, under his leadership, a rocket with smokeless trotyl pyroxylin powder (see gun cotton ) was launched for the first time.
He was one of the inventors of the Katyusha rocket launcher.
The crater of the moon Artem'ev is named after him.
