Vladimir Gordejewitsch Sorin
Wladimir Gordejewitsch Sorin ( Russian Владимир Гордеевич Сорин ; * 1893 , † 1944 ) was a Soviet politician and historian.
Sorin became a member of the Bolsheviks in 1917 and editor of the newspaper Social Democrat in Moscow. In 1923 he took over the management of the Lenin Institute . In 1939 he was arrested in the course of the Stalinist purges and sentenced to eight years in prison in 1941. He died in 1944 in the UchtPetschLag gulag camp ( Ухтпечлаг - for example labor camps near Uchta and Pechora ) near Kedrovy Schor ( Кедровый Шор ), ASSR of the Komi .
