Wladimir Michailowitsch Tichonow (English transcription: Vladimir Mikhailovich Tikhonov ) alias Pak Noja (born February 5, 1973 in Leningrad ) is a naturalized South Korean journalist and historian .

Live and act

Tichonow received his doctorate in 1992 from Lomonosov University in Moscow on the Confederation of the Gaya . He is Professor of East Asian and Korean Studies at the University of Oslo and Lecturer at Kyunghee University in Seoul , where his research areas are modernism and the history of ideas in Korea, the latter with an emphasis on younger Buddhism . He has taught Russian at Kyung Hee University in Korea and is currently teaching Korean as a professor in the Department of Cultural Studies and Oriental Languages ​​at Oslo University in Norway .

Tichonow is married to the South Korean violinist Baek Myong-jong.
