Vladislav Krapivin ( Russian Владислав Петрович Крапивин , scientific. Transliteration Vladislav Petrovich Krapivin *  14. October 1938 in Tyumen , Russian SFSR , USSR ) is a Russian writer, author of many books for and about children and young people, including the fantastic genres .

biography

Krapiwin studied journalism at the Ural State University (Уральский государственный университет), worked for the newspaper "Wetscherni Sverdlovsk" (Вечерний Свердлytскл ") and the magazine Урopыкytскледордыклскле Урардловсклед

In 1961 he founded the children and youth group "Karawella" (Каравелла), which dealt with journalism, sailing and fencing, and then headed it for over 30 years. Since 1965 the group has been sponsored by the magazine "Pioner" (Пионер).

Krapivin's first book ( The Voyage of "Orion" - Рейс "Ориона") was published in 1962. In total there were over 200 editions of his works and he was awarded numerous Soviet and Russian literary prizes. Several of his books have been filmed and staged. He has lived in Tyumen since 2007 and is professor of literature at the State University there.

Sergei Lukyanenko said that he had written his books “The Pier of the Yellow Ships” (Пристань жёлтых кораблей), “The Knights of the Forty Islands” (Рыцари сорока островов) and “The Boy and the Darkness under the Kremlin Wrote works.
