Vladko Panayotov

Wladko Todorov Panayotov (also spelled Vladko Todorov Panayotov , Bulgarian Владко Тодоров Панайотов ; born May 7, 1950 in Pavlikeni , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian politician of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) and a member of the European Parliament .

Panayotov is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Scientists and the Bulgarian Association of Chemicals as well as a lecturer and professor at the University of Mining and Geology in Sofia .

Life

In 1975 Vladko Panayotov finished his studies in chemical cybernetics at the Moscow Chemical and Technological Mendeleev University.

Between 1977 and 1980 he was a PhD student at the St. Ivan Rilski University of Mining and Geology in Sofia. Between 1980 and 1990 he was a researcher and senior researcher, deputy director of the joint scientific-practical center of the Combine for Mining and Mineral Processing Gorubso and the University of Mining and Geology. Between 1990 and 2007 he was director at the Institute for Mining and Metallurgy in Kardzhali . Since 2000 he has been professor and since 2002 editor of the journal Geologie und Bodenschätze .

2007 Wladko Panayotov was in the European elections in 2007 , from the list of DPS, which is in the region of Kardzhali the strongest political force as member of the European Parliament elected. In the 2009 elections he was confirmed in his post.

Vladko Panayotov is also the author of four textbooks, three monographs, 160 publications and the owner of 36 patents.

Panayotov speaks English, Spanish and Russian.
