Wolf Beringer
Wolf Beringer , also Wolfgang Beringer (* before 1580, † after 1607) was a German sculptor and builder.
This stonemason , who worked in Franconia , can be traced back to Bamberg from around 1580 ; from 1588 he worked for municipal and church institutions in the Würzburg monastery , where he a. in the elevation of the Grafeneckerturm of the Würzburg town hall by two floors and the installation of volute gables in 1593/94; In 1600 he was involved in the renovation of the medieval Marienberg fortress . It can also be found in 1593 for the tower of the St. Johannis Church in Hofheim ; In 1595 in Weikersheim to expand the castle, in 1596 he built a simple hospital building in Haßfurt . Between 1592 and 1607 he renovated the convent building of Himmelspforten monastery near Würzburg.
