Wolf Bernhard von Werder (born before 1709; died May 18, 1741 in Roßbach ) was a Saxon-Weißenfels castle captain, stable master and manor owner.

Life

He came from the Merseburg noble family von Werder , who came from the ministry of the episcopal city of Merseburg . Like many members of his family, he also embarked on an administrative career in the service of the Wettins and initially became a chamberlain at the court of the Saxon-Weißenfels secondary school . As such, he took part in Dresden on June 19, 1709 in the great tournament or carousel that was held on the occasion of and in honor of the visit of the King of Denmark by the King of Poland and Elector of Saxony, Augustus the Strong.

At the public auction in 1731 he acquired the indebted Rossbach manor , which was previously owned by Bünau (until 1709) and owned by Ende. At that time, Wolf Bernhard von Werder was the castle captain of Langensalza . Most recently he was stable master of the widow of the Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels in his residence town Weissenfels .

Wolf Bernhard von Werder died on May 18, 1741 on his manor Roßbach and was buried four days later in the church in Roßbach. He left Johann Carl von Werder (died 1794) as the only son and last male representative of this noble family.
