Wolf Magin

Wolf Magin (born September 21, 1927 in Mutterstadt ; † May 15, 2009 in Mannheim ) was a German graphic artist and painter .

biography

1951–56 he took a course at the free academy in Mannheim. In 1957 he was a lecturer in graphic design at the Free Academy in Mannheim. In 1967 he became head of the graphic design department at the Werkkunstschule Mannheim. In 1968 he moved to the school management. In 1974 he received a position as a lecturer for graphic design at the FHG Mannheim. In 1975 he created the Experimenta litera. In 1986 he got a bronze medal at the 12th Intern. Poster Biennale, Brno, CSSR. In 1988 he was appointed professor. From 1991 to 2009 he dealt with painting. The painting is divided into the following subject areas: landscapes, night pictures, signposts, reflections, sandpipers, on the move.
