Wolf Wilhelm Maync (* 1911 ; † 2003 ) was a German local historian and paleontologist .
Maync worked abroad for petroleum companies and described various fossil foraminifera before he moved to Bern in 1961 , where he worked as a local historian on Bern castles, campaigns and mansions , on which he wrote five books: Bernische Wohnschlösser (1979), Bernische Campagnen (1980), Bernese patrician houses (1982), small Bernese country houses (1983) and Bernese patrician houses in welschen Landen (1985).
