Wolfgang Adam Gropp

Wolfgang Adam Gropp (born February 16, 1630 in Wunsiedel ; † December 10, 1703 in Schweinfurt ) was a German businessman and politician .

Gropp's parents were the mayor and tin dealer Hans Gropp (1582–1640) and his wife Anna Kobs († 1637).

Wolfgang Adam Gropp was a merchant from Wunsiedel who held the office of mayor in Schweinfurt from 1687.

He was in his second marriage to Sophia Cordula Hoefel, a daughter of the Schweinfurt mayor Dr. Johann Hoefel, married. They had 10 children. His daughter Anna Sophia Gropp (1664–1701) was the mother of the Electoral Palatinate government councilor Johann Christoph Kornacher and the grandmother of Heilbronn Mayor Georg Christoph Kornacher .
