Wolfgang Alm

Wolfgang Alm (born September 26, 1960 in Hanover ) is a business IT specialist and director of the Information Management Institute at the Technical University of Aschaffenburg .

Career

After studying civil engineering at the University of Hanover, he obtained his doctorate in 1994 under Klaus Peter Holz, Rudolf Damrath and Werner Zielke (all of the University of Hanover) on the subject of "Designing an information system for coastal engineering".

From 1988 to 1994 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Fluid Mechanics and Electronic Computing in Civil Engineering - Department of Electronic Computing in Civil Engineering. From 1994 to 1996 he was a consultant at Infotec Unternehmensberatung GmbH in Weiterstadt - Darmstadt. He then founded ESI Service Managementberatung GmbH, where he was managing director from 1996 to 2001. From 1998 to 2001 he was also a member of the management team at R&B Consulting GmbH, Obernburg.

Since 2001 he has been professor for data processing and organization ( business informatics ) in the Faculty of Economics and Law at Aschaffenburg University.
