Wolfgang Böhmer (politician, 1951)

Wolfgang Böhmer (born September 9, 1951 in Admont ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and secondary school teacher. Böhmer was a member of the Styrian Landtag from 2000 to November 2014 .

After elementary school, Böhmer attended secondary school and subsequently completed training as a teacher. In the course of his teaching activity, he moved to Hartberg, where he teaches German, biology and geography as a secondary school teacher.

Böhmer has been politically active as Vice Mayor of Hartberg since the spring of 2000, with responsibility for the departments of culture, youth, sport and education. In addition, Böhmer is also the head of tourism in Hartberg and represented the SPÖ in the Styrian state parliament from autumn 2000 to November 2014. There he holds the function of environmental spokesman for the SPÖ state parliament club and is also SPÖ district chairman of Hartberg.
