Wolfgang Benner

Wolfgang Benner (* 1940 in Weifenbach ) is a German economist .

Wolfgang Benner studied business education at the universities of Frankfurt am Main and Göttingen from 1960 to 1966 . After graduating as a commercial teacher, he became a research assistant at the Institute for Banking Management and Corporate Finance , which later became the Institute for Business Money Management at the University of Göttingen (Managing Director: Hans-Dieter Deppe ). He received his doctorate in 1970 on the subject of simulation games for credit institutions . In 1980 he completed his habilitation on the subject of corporate finance as a monetary system at the University of Göttingen. In 1982 he took over a professorship at the Institute for Banking at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1986 he was appointed to a university professorship for general business administration and banking management at the University of Hamburg . From there he moved to Göttingen in 1991 as the successor to the office of managing director from Hans-Dieter Deppe.
