Wolfgang Christoph Agricola

Wolfgang Christoph Agricola (* around 1600 , † around 1659 ) was a German baroque composer.

The work of Wolfgang Christoph Agricola is attested in the period from 1637 to 1651. From 1637 he is proven as a Magister in Neustadt an der Saale . Agricola wrote masses and motets.

Works by Wolfgang Christoph Agricola

From 1647 Agricola published the following works in Würzburg:

  • Fasciculus musicalis (1647, eight masses)
  • Fasciculus variarum cantionum (1648, two eight-part motets)
  • Spiritual German song book (only known in an edition from 1700.)
