Wolfgang Dümcke
Wolfgang Dümcke (born November 21, 1953 in Parchim ) is a German television producer , author and director .
Dümcke received his doctorate in economics from the Berlin School of Economics in 1981 and in philosophy from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 1989 . He then worked as senior research assistant in the social sciences department at Humboldt University, specializing in the theory, history and didactics of civic education. He is a lecturer for media and educational policy at various universities (University of Potsdam, University of Cologne, Free University of Berlin). With Fritz Vilmar , he published the much-cited study Colonization of the GDR - Critical Analyzes and Alternatives to the Unification Process , which appeared in several editions in 1995 .
He is the executive editor at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) for the format Die Jury hilft . For the RBB he is the producer of the weekly "Heimatjournals". Since 1998 he has been managing director of the "Filmbüros Potsdam".
His son Jonathan Dümcke (1991-2013) worked as an actor.
