Wolfgang Dietrich (politician)

Wolfgang Dietrich (born November 24, 1951 in Inden ; † October 26, 2016 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Wolfgang Dietrich obtained the secondary school leaving certificate in 1967 and the technical college entrance qualification in 1969. From 1969 to 1972 he attended the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences for Finance in Nordkirchen , where he graduated with a degree in finance. From 1969 to 1976 he worked as a tax clerk in the higher service in the financial administration of North Rhine-Westphalia. He graduated as a tax advisor in 1978 and then worked as such.

politics

Dietrich had been a member of the CDU since 1974. In 1992 he was elected chairman of the Geilenkirchen CDU city association. In 1989 he became a member of the board of the CDU district association Heinsberg and had been treasurer there since 1991. His further career stations: 1996 member of the finance commission of the CDU NRW and auditor of the CDU NRW since 1997. From 1994 to 2000 he was a city councilor in the council of the city of Geilenkirchen , deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the council and its financial policy spokesman. In 1990 Wolfgang Dietrich became mayor of Prummer , a district of Geilenkirchen. From 1995 to 1999 he was also a member of the Cologne District Planning Council and a member of the Aachen Regional Conference.

Wolfgang Dietrich was a directly elected member of the 13th State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2000 to 2005 .
