Wolfgang Drese

Wolfgang Drese (born August 20, 1943 in Bad Kissingen ; † October 26, 2012 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

After completing an apprenticeship as a machine fitter, Wolfgang Drese passed the journeyman's examination in 1961. He then worked as an elevator fitter and customer advisor.

politics

Wolfgang Drese had been a member of the SPD since 1972. He was a member of the local Erkrath-Hochdahl association. He was chairman of the SPD city association Erkrath since 1996. From 1975 to 1989 he was a member of the city council of Erkrath. Here he acted from the end of 1975 to October 1989 as parliamentary group leader of the SPD. He was chairman of the economic development committee from 1975 to 1980 and of the planning, transport and environmental committee from 1980 to 1985. From 1986 to 1994 he was chairman of the supervisory board of the development company Hochdahl mbH. He was a member of the AWO.

Wolfgang Drese was a directly elected member of the 11th, 12th and 13th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1990 to 2005 . He died on October 26, 2012.
