Wolfgang Goppert

Wolfgang Goppert is a former German basketball player .

Career as an athlete

In 1982 Goppert came from BG Bamberg to the Bundesliga team of 1. FC Bamberg . In his first year he rose with the team in the 2nd basketball league  and in 1984 again. In the Bundesliga season 1984/85 Goppert was behind the American Kennith Sweet with 340 points scored Bamberg's second best thrower.

In 1987 he left Bamberg's Bundesliga team and still played FC Baunach , with whom he rose to the second division in 1988, and TSV Breitengüßbach . He later became German champions with the Breitengüßbach old men’s teams.
