Wolfgang Haberler

Wolfgang Haberler (born October 31, 1963 in Neunkirchen ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). From 1993 to 2002 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

After primary school, Haberler attended secondary school and subsequently graduated from high school. He learned the trade of druggist and subsequently worked as an employee. Haberler became involved in the political arena from an early age and between 1981 and 1986 was the district chairman of the Ring of Freedom Youth. He subsequently rose to the position of FPÖ district party chairman, where he held this office between 1986 and 1994. He also acted as a councilor in Wiener Neustadt from 1990 , was a councilor from 2000 to 2005 and then again a councilor. In addition, he represented the FPÖ from June 7, 1993 to September 30, 2002 in the state parliament and was regional chairman of the freedom workers.

In 2002 Haberler resigned his membership in the FPÖ and his mandates in the Lower Austrian state parliament due to criminal proceedings against him. Since that time he has been politically active at community level with a list "WN Aktiv - List Wolfgang Haberler" in Wiener Neustadt.

Haberler was sentenced in 2004 to a conditional prison sentence of two years for attempted serious fraud, the use of someone else's identity card and false evidence in the course of preliminary judicial inquiries. He was "represented" by an acquaintance during a paternity test.
