Wolfgang Hell (psychologist)
Wolfgang Hell (* 1948 in Deckbergen ) is an emeritus professor of psychology .
Career
Hell completed his studies in physics in Frankfurt and Heidelberg in 1974 with a diploma. He then completed a postgraduate course in psychology at the University of Konstanz and received his doctorate on the subject of perceptual psychology in 1977 as a Dr. rer. soc. During his time as a research assistant at the University of Konstanz from 1977 to 1986 , he completed his habilitation in psychology in 1985. He was then professor of general psychology there for one year before moving to the University of Münster as professor of applied and industrial psychology in 1987 , where he worked until his retirement in 2011. One focus of his work was research on thinking and memory illusions.
Functions
Hell is a member of the Science Council of the Society for the Scientific Investigation of Parasciences . Among other things, he deals with psychological explanations for paranormal experiences.
