Wolfgang Lauenstein
Wolfgang Lauenstein (born March 20, 1962 in Hildesheim ) is a German filmmaker .
Career
At the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg , he studied visual communication and animation a. A. with Franz Winzentsen .
In 1990 he and his twin brother Christoph Lauenstein received the Oscar for the best animated short film for their short film Balance .
He lives and works in Hamburg . From 1990 he and his brother mainly created animated films for advertising and commissioned work for TV and cinema. Since 2014, the two have shifted their focus and, as authors and directors, have dedicated themselves to realizing their own cinema film projects.
