Wolfgang Motz

Wolfgang Motz (born February 20, 1963 in Langenzersdorf ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Motz was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1998 to 2008 .

Life

After graduating from the AHS Matura, Motz studied law at the University of Vienna, which he completed with the academic degree Mag. Jur . He joined Verbund AG in 1988 .

politics

Motz was active as a managing councilor in Langenzersdorf between 1997 and 2008. In addition, he represented the Social Democratic Party of Austria between April 16, 1998 and April 10, 2008 in the Lower Austrian state parliament, where he held the function of SPÖ energy spokesman. Motz left the state parliament involuntarily after Karin Kadenbach was preferred to him after the state election in 2008 . Motz then resigned his functions in the SPÖ district party Korneuburg . After the 2015 municipal council election, which was unsuccessful for the SPÖ Langenzersdorf, he was brought back from the party and now heads the party together with the newly arrived health expert and Floridsdorf politician Christoph Baumgärtel. After Baumgärtel left the party - he was followed by large parts of the board and also resigned - Motz entered the elections with the remainder of the party and achieved the SPÖ's historically worst result in the history of Langenzersdorf with only 11%.
