Wolfgang Neukirch

Wolfgang Neukirch (born March 10, 1815 in Frankfurt am Main ; † September 8, 1877 in Frankfurt am Main) was a lawyer and politician of the Free City of Frankfurt ( DVP ).

Wolfgang Neukirch Neukirch studied law and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. He was a lawyer and notary in Frankfurt am Main. On October 25, 1848, he was elected to the Constituent Assembly of the Free City of Frankfurt . From 1858 to 1866 he was a member of the Legislative Body and from 1865 to 1866 of the Permanent Citizens' Representation . After the end of the Free City, he was elected to the city council of Frankfurt am Main in 1873. From 1873 until his death in 1877, he succeeded Adolf Prior as chairman of the city council. Even if his extremely pedantic manner often extended the duration of the city council meetings, he was re-elected three times.
