Wolfgang Bernhard Nolte (born November 29, 1946 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German doctor and professional politician .

Life

Nolte was born in Gelsenkirchen- Bismarck in 1946 . After graduating from high school, he studied human medicine in Bonn, Düsseldorf and Vienna and received his doctorate in 1973. After completing his specialist training, he settled as a specialist in general medicine in Gelsenkirchen-Haverkamp in 1979, where he practiced until 2013. From 1986 to 2010, Nolte was a board member in the Gelsenkirchen Medical Association. From 1994 to 2006 as chairman. From 1987 to 2016 Nolte worked as an honorary judge at the Social Court in Gelsenkirchen. Nolte was one of the founders of the ARZT-MOBIL association, which provides outreach help for addicts and the homeless. He has been chairman since it was founded in 1998. As a co-initiator and founding member, he brought the Quality Association Praxisnetz Gelsenkirchen (QPG) into being, which is also responsible for the two emergency practices in Gelsenkirchen. He was actively involved in the development of the Gelsenkirchen emergency service model, which served as a model for the entire Westphalia-Lippe area. He was one of the founders of the Emmaus Hospice St. Hedwig Resse and has been chairman of the shareholders' meeting since it was founded in 2010. For 27 years, including 24 as vice-chairman, he was a member of the church council of his parish of the Holy Trinity. Nolte has been a member of the Caritas Council of the city of Gelsenkirchen since 1983 and its chairman since 2003.
