Wolfgang Pekny

Wolfgang Pekny (* 1956 ) is an Austrian activist . His main focus is on biodiversity , commons , international law and life cycle assessments .

Between 1975 and 1987 he studied chemistry and biology at the University of Vienna .

In 2007 he founded the website www.footprint.at after coordinating the strategic direction of Greenpeace Austria for about 20 years . He has been chairman of the civil society initiative since it was founded (around 2006) . In addition, he has headed the management consultancy footprint-consult eU since it was founded in 2009
