Lutherse Kerk (Zierikzee)
The Lutherse Kerk is a simple Evangelical Lutheran hall church in Zierikzee in the Netherlands ( province of Zeeland ). The community has the Luther rose as its coat of arms .
history
The house of God has its origins as the house chapel of the aristocratic Hof van Ravestein. In 1713 it was prepared as a Schotse Kerk for Scottish merchants . In 1755 the chapel was taken over by the Lutheran congregation and enlarged; it has a sermon pulpit from 1756. Since the Dutch Lutheran Church joined the United Protestant Church in the Netherlands in 2004, the Zierikzeer congregation has been part of the autonomous Evangelical Lutheran Synod within the Union. In the community, services are still celebrated in the form of the Lutheran liturgy.
organ
The organ was built in 1962 by the organ builder Hammarberg. The instrument has 13 stops on two manuals and a pedal . The playing and stop actions are electric.
