Wolfgang Pfister

Wolfgang Pfister (born August 5, 1950 ) is a German lawyer and was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 1995 to 2015 .

Pfister studied law in Würzburg, Munich and Berlin. In 1977 he joined the Berlin judicial service. From 1985 to 1988 he was a research assistant at the Federal Court of Justice, then presiding judge of a criminal chamber at the Berlin Regional Court and from the beginning of April 1995 elected judge at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe. He became a member of the 3rd Criminal Senate , which is primarily responsible for state security criminal matters and for revisions from the districts of the higher regional courts of Celle, Düsseldorf, Oldenburg and Koblenz. Pfister was a member of the 3rd Criminal Senate until his retirement. Since 2006 he has also been a representative of his Senate in the Grand Senate for Criminal Matters.

Pfister retired on December 31, 2015 when he reached the age limit.

He also works as a speaker for the German Judges Academy .
