Wolfgang Schillings

Wolfgang Schillings (born October 10, 1971 in Grevenbroich ) is a German sports physician and journalist .

Life

Schillings obtained his doctorate in 2001. med. at the University of Cologne and also completed a degree in sports science, which he completed in 2002 as a certified sports teacher. He found employment at several clinics and rehabilitation centers and has been working as a doctor in the sports and exercise medicine department at the outpatient center of the Hamburg-Eppendorf University Medical Center since 2010 .

Schillings was the chief editor of Running - Das Laufmagazin until 2005 and editor-in-chief of the sports and lifestyle magazine motion until 2006. Since then he has been working as a freelance sports and medical journalist and author. In January 2012 he became team doctor for Hamburger SV .
