Wolfgang Weiß (* 1966 ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

From 1988 to 1993 he studied law and economics at the University of Bayreuth (scholarship according to the Bavarian Gifted Education Act). After the first state law examination in 1993 (good), he received a doctoral scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in 1994 . After receiving his doctorate in 1995, he was awarded the Bayreuth Science Prize for his dissertation in 1995. After the second state examination in law (good) in 1997 and his habilitation in Bayreuth in 2000, he was awarded the 2003 FORSI Science Prize from the Security Industry Research Center at the University of Hamburg for his habilitation thesis. From 2006 to 2012 he taught as Professor in International Law at Oxford Brookes University . From 2006 to 2008 he was a university professor for public law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . Since 2008 he has been a university professor for public law, in particular European and international law, at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . Since 2015 he has been a Senior Fellow at the German Research Institute for Public Administration .
