The cynodontidae (Cynodontidae, Gr . "Kyon" - "onos" = dog + "odous" = tooth) or Säbelzahnsalmler 28 centimeters to over a meter long predatory fish in the river systems of the Amazon , the Orinoco and the rivers of the three Guyanas live. Only one species lives in Paraná ( Rhaphiodon vulpinus ).
features
Wolf tetra grow to a length of 28 centimeters to over a meter. They are particularly noticeable by two elongated, saber-like, fangs in the lower jaw in some species. Its mouth is above and the pectoral fins are relatively long. Wolf tetra have been found fossilized since the Miocene .
