Volodymyr Abramov

Volodymyr Wassylowytsch Abramow ( Ukrainian Володимир Васильович Абрамов ; born August 6, 1962 in Schowti Vody , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian lawyer and politician. Abramov has been the mayor of his native Shovti Vody since October 25, 2015 .

Life

Volodymyr Abramov was born in Schowty Vody and attended School No. 9 there from 1969 to 1979, from which he graduated with honors. He then began studying mechanical engineering in Russia at the Moscow State Technical University, Institute for Automobile and Road Traffic , which he graduated with honors in 1984 and continued with postgraduate studies at the same university until 1987. From 1988 to 1992 and from 1996 to 2005 he was a lecturer, head of department and finally dean at the municipal economic institute “Strategy” in Schowti Vody. In 1993 he worked as a goods specialist in a trading company and from 1994 to 1996 he was an officer in the administration of the Ministry of the Interior. Between 1997 and 2002 he completed his lawyer studies at the National Law Academy of Ukraine "Yaroslav the Wise", which he again completed with honors and was admitted to the bar in 2005. In 2007/08 he was an advisor to the general manager of VostGOK in Schowti Vody.

In the 2015 local elections in Ukraine , Volodymyr Abramov ran as a candidate for the Ukrainian party " UKROP " (Ukrainian Union of Patriots; Ukrainian: УКРОП Українське об'єднання патріотів ) in Shovti Vody. He won the election with 37.9% of the vote and has been the city's mayor since October 25, 2015, succeeding Vasyl Tarassenko .

Abramov is married and has a daughter born in 1988.
