Coordinates: 30 ° 53 '  S , 116 ° 43'  O The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu is a Local Government Area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3369 km² and has about 1300 inhabitants (2016).

Wongan-Ballidu is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the west of the state about 145 kilometers northeast of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is located in the village of Wongan Hills, where about 720 inhabitants live (2016).

The Wongan-Ballidu Council has eleven members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Wongan-Ballidu is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
