The Wood Lake (English: Lake Wood) is an inland lake on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines . The lake is located approximately 29 km west of Pagadian City , the provincial capital of Zamboanga del Sur . The parish of Lakewood was named after the lake .
The aquatic vegetation is dominated by the alga Cladophora sp . The fish stocks mainly consist of the snakehead fish Channa striata , various species of tilapia , the goby Glossogobius giurus , the carp ( Cyprinus carpio ) and the climbing fish Anabas testudineus . These types of fish are also used in commercial fishing.
