World Badminton Grand Prix 1985 (final)

The final of the 1985 World Badminton Grand Prix took place in Tokyo , Japan , from December 12th to 15th . It was the final competition of the Grand Prix series of the past season and the third edition of the World Badminton Grand Prix ever. The prize money was the equivalent of $ 87,900. At the first three events of the WBGP from 1983 to 1985, in contrast to the later tournaments, only the men's and women's singles were held. From 1987 the three double disciplines men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed were added.

The winners were Han Jian in the men's and li lingwei with the ladies, both for China starting.
