The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) is an annual education summit hosted by the Qatar Foundation in the Emirate of Qatar . The aim is to promote innovative education and science projects. Since it was founded in 2009, more than 1,000 experts from different countries have met annually to exchange ideas about innovations in the educational sector.

The WISE Prize for Education

The WISE Prize for Education was first awarded in December 2010 for 2011 at the WISE Summit in Doha. It is the first international award in the field of education and honors people and teams for outstanding educational achievements. The award is endowed with US $ 500,000 and a gold medal.

The initiative is supported by a network of six international partners: Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Institute of International Education (IIE), International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), RAND Corporation and UNESCO .
