World Town Planning Day

The World Town Planning Day is a day of action , the public attention to the goals and ideas of urban and regional planning is to draw. It was launched in 1949 by Carlos Maria della Paolera , professor at the University of Buenos Aires , and is held annually on November 8th in more than 30 countries. This day of action is organized by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).

With the help of the World Town Planning Day, goals and developments in urban settlements are to be shown. Lectures, events and exhibitions take place in all participating countries. Possibilities are also presented how urban planning can have a positive influence on the global climate and what prospects cities and municipalities have in the future.
