World Youth Alliance (WYA) is an international non-profit non- governmental organization of the right to life movement .

history

The World Youth Alliance (WYA) is an international, non-governmental, non-profit youth organization whose stated goal is to promote respect for human dignity internationally. In addition, the World Youth Alliance is committed to more solidarity between developed and developing countries. The World Youth Alliance was constituted in 1999 during the United Nations Conference on Population and Development +5 (United Nations World Population Conference). The establishment came in response to the agenda of the conference, which was convened to address the needs of the world's people. From the perspective of the World Youth Alliance, however, issues such as the supply of clean water, sanitary facilities, education, nutrition, as well as medical care and work were not adequately dealt with.

The World Youth Alliance understands the inherent dignity of the human being as the basis of every human right. It recognizes that human dignity exists regardless of individual circumstances and can therefore neither be granted nor overridden by a human community.

The charter of the World Youth Alliance states that “the authentic development of society can only take place in a culture that cultivates the holistic development of people, which is characterized by physical, mental, spiritual and emotional growth, in a climate of respect before the human person and the family. "

Members

The membership of one million members in 100 nations is considered differently. Members are not just people who sign the WYA's charter, but every member of any group who signs this charter.

WYA at international organizations

WYA operates with the United Nations, the European Union and the Organization of American States (OAS). The WYA was funded with € 35,000 in 2010 by the EU alone. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) paid special tribute to the statement by the WYA and two other organizations.
