The Worthington Lakes are a group of three reservoirs in Greater Manchester , England . The Adlington Reservoir , the Arley Reservoir and the Worthington Reservoir form the Worthington Lakes east of Standish from north to south . The three reservoirs are separated from each other by a dam.
The Bucknow Brook forms the tributary of the Adlington Reservoir on its north side, while the River Douglas flows into the northeast corner of the Arley Reservoir. The River Douglas also forms the drain of the Worthington Reservoir at its southern end.
