Wulf Goette

Wulf Goette (born May 16, 1946 in Lübeck ) is a German lawyer and was presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

After completing his law studies Goette was at the University of Bonn with a thesis on " total concept of guilt and recourse problem," Dr. iur. PhD. In 1975 he joined the judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and in 1981 became a consultant in the local justice ministry . On August 23, 1990 Goette was appointed judge at the BGH and on June 1, 2005 he was appointed presiding judge at the BGH. There he was in charge of the 2nd civil senate responsible for company law . Wulf Goette retired on September 30, 2010. Since October 1, 2010 he has been working for the law firm Gleiss Lutz in Stuttgart.

Goette has been an honorary professor at Heidelberg University since 1997 . He is co-editor of the magazines ZGR , NZG and ZNotP as well as scientific editor of the DStR.
