Wusong Fort

The Wusong Fort or the Wusong forts ( 吳淞炮臺  /  吴淞炮台 ) in the district of Baoshan in Shanghai are located at the mouth of the Huangpu River . In 1842 the Chinese fought the British from there. General Chen Huacheng ( 陈 化成 ) was killed here by the British invading forces. It is one of the four great batteries of the Qing Dynasty .
