XEDIT

XEDIT is a text editor , which under the operating system VM / CMS on IBM - mainframe is used, and the display and editing functions of text files over terminals of the type IBM 3270 . XEDIT is similar to the editor, which is part of ISPF under TSO and the z / OS operating system , also from IBM.

The text editor KEDIT from the Mansfield Software Group is an adaptation of XEDIT for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows . The Hessling Editor (THE) is an open source adaptation of XEDIT for various platforms, which also includes many functions of KEDIT.
