XLR-8 in Six Flags Astro World ( Houston , Texas , USA ) was a roller coaster on the model suspended coaster of manufacturer Arrow Dynamics , which opened the 1984th She drove until October 30, 2005. Trains
XLR-8 had two trains with seven cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car. The passengers had to be at least 1.07 m tall to be allowed to ride. Shoulder straps were used as a restraint system.
For Fright Fest 2002 AstroWorld turned the last four cars around so that they drove backwards and named the trip 8-RLX . From this point on, the trains kept their car layout.
Theming
For the 2004 season, XLR-8 was repainted in the colors blue and yellow. Before that, the colors were blue and gray.
The fate of XLR-8
In 2005, AstroWorld stopped operating after Six Flags decided to close AstroWorld. On 3 February 2006, the track for 50,000 was US dollars sold and scrapped.
