xMods are radio-controlled model cars ("RC models") on a scale of 1:28. Due to their tuning options, the models are intended for model car drivers who want to expand. The model cars are sold by RadioShack in the USA , by Hobby Products International in Japan and by Carson-Model Sport in Europe . Carson is a trademark of subsidiary Dickie- Tamiya the Simba Dickie Group .

Expansion options are, for example, tuning kits, lighting kits, engine upgrades, spring and suspension kits as well as special wheel sets. A similar product are mini-Z model cars.

history

xMods came out in the fall of 2003. The "first generation" models were replaced in autumn 2005 by the "Evolution" series with a modified chassis , which is now the "Evolution 2" series. There is also a model series called “Truckin”, which is supposed to be designed for off-road driving , and model monster trucks called “xMonster”.
