The XX. World Congress for Safety and Health at Work 2014 from 24 to 27 August 2014 in Frankfurt am Main was hosted by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) as the national host in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (IAO) and the International Social Security Association ( ISSA)organized. In 1955, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) organized the first World Congress in Rome. Exchange of experience and information about new technical developments in the prevention area were the focus at that time. Since then, the world congress has taken place every three years. It is the world's largest event for the international occupational safety community. At the 2014 World Congress in Frankfurt, the congress languages ​​will be English, French, Spanish and German. Around 4,000 participants are expected. The XXI. World Congress will be held in Singapore in 2017 .
