XX. World Congress on Safety and Health at Work 2014 - Global Forum on Prevention
The XX. World Congress for Safety and Health at Work 2014 from 24 to 27 August 2014 in Frankfurt am Main was hosted by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) as the national host in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (IAO) and the International Social Security Association ( ISSA)organized. The 2014 World Congress offers safety and health experts, representatives of companies and employees, decision-makers from politics and authorities, social partners and everyone who is active in the field of occupational health and safety a platform for the exchange of information and opinions. Political forums, specialist events and workshops provide the opportunity to exchange experiences, to work together and to present best practice examples. At the 2014 World Congress in Frankfurt, the congress languages will be English, French, Spanish and German. Around 4,000 participants are expected.
Motto and main themes
The World Congress for Safety and Health at Work: Global Prevention Forum in Frankfurt am Main will take place under the motto "Our vision: Sustainable prevention ". The three main topics are:

- Health challenges at work
- Diversity in the world of work

The 2014 World Congress offers safety and health experts, representatives of companies and employees, decision-makers from politics and authorities, social partners and everyone who is active in the field of occupational health and safety a platform for the exchange of information and opinions. History of the World Congress
In 1955, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) organized the first World Congress in Rome. Prevention experts and decision-makers from all over the world met for the first time at a major international congress. Exchange of experience and information about new technical developments in the prevention area were the focus at that time. Since then, the world congress has taken place every three years. It is the world's largest event for the international occupational safety community. At the 2014 World Congress in Frankfurt, the congress languages will be English, French, Spanish and German. Around 4,000 participants are expected. The XXI. World Congress will be held in Singapore in 2017 .
