Xaasongaxango is a Manding West language spoken as a mother tongue by the Khassonké on the border between Mali and Senegal .
It has around 128,000 to 170,000 speakers in all countries and is a national language of Mali . Xaasongaxango is very closely related to Malinke and Mandinka . Alternative names for the language are Xasonga , Kassonke , Khassonka , Khassonké , Khasonke , Kasonke , Kasson , Kasso , Xaasonga , Xasonke, and Xassonke .
