Xaver Hörmann

Xaver Hörmann (born February 21, 1910 , † February 23, 1943 ) was a German canoeist who won an Olympic bronze medal in 1936.

Only at the Olympic premiere of canoeing at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin were competitions with the folding boat on the program. In the one over 10,000 meters the Austrian Gregor Hradetzky won three seconds ahead of the French Henri Eberhardt ; Another two seconds back, Xaver Hörmann from the Canoe Association Esslingen crossed the finish line, who was more than a minute ahead of fourth place.
