Xenophanes is a lunar crater , which is located in the northwestern edge of the moon's front . It lies between the craters Cleostratus in the northeast and Volta in the southwest. The wall is badly eroded. It has a diameter of around 118 kilometers and was named after the philosopher Xenophanes .
