Xentrix is a thrash metal band from Preston , Lancashire , England . The music partly contains mid-tempo passages and is characterized by melodic singing, comparable to Exodus . The texts are often socially critical.
history
Xentrix received some attention from the Ray Parker Jr. -Cover Ghostbusters and the unauthorized use of the film logo in the artwork. The single was then re-released with a new cover. In 1990 the band was touring Germany with Annihilator and Despair . The album For Whose Advantage? Contained a cover of Colin Townes' Ian Gillan song Running, White Face, City Boy .
After the release of the partly melodic album Kin in 1992 and a European tour with Tankard , the band separated. In 1996 there was a brief restart with Scourge . The new singer Simon Gordon and Andy Rudd replaced Chris Astley on guitar.
At the beginning of 2006, Xentrix reformed for a few appearances in Great Britain , but announced the renewed dissolution in September of the same year.
In 2013 the band got together again to work on a new album.
