Xhelal Pasha Zogolli
Xhelal Pascha Zogolli , also Xhalal Pasha , was the hereditary governor of Mat , father of Xhemal Pascha Zogu and grandfather of the Albanian King Zog I from the House of Zogu .
Xhelal was raised and trained privately. He fought in the war against Montenegro from 1852 to 1853. Later he visited Russia and after his return tried to instigate an uprising against the Ottoman Empire . He married Ruqiya Chanum (Ruhijé Hanem) from the Alltuni family. He died; allegedly poisoned by Ottoman agents in Vienna , Austria and buried in Hajji bath Uskanda, Constantinople , Turkey .
